Sean N. Peters is an associate in Coren Lichtenstein LLP’s litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on representing corporations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and students. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, both in state and federal court.

As an associate at Coren Lichtenstein LLP, Sean has represented numerous for-profit and non-profit corporations in complex litigation matters ranging from contract disputes to trade secret misappropriation. In addition to corporate litigation, Sean has advised for-profit and non-profit clients on a broad range of corporate, regulatory, and employment matters. Sean has also represented healthcare practitioners and institutions, handling healthcare related contracts, insurance negotiations, and licensure disputes. Sean has represented students and their families at all levels of education, assisting in the navigation of disciplinary proceedings, 504 plan and IEP negotiations, Title VI and Title IX complaints, and general education litigation. Sean has experience representing clients filing and navigating employment-related MCAD complaints.

Before joining Coren Lichtenstein LLP, Sean was a law fellow at Fresenius Medical Care North America where he advised clients on regulatory, legal and contractual risks, such as FDA regulations, HIPAA compliance, and termination rights, providing informed recommendations to limit liability and risk while achieving clients’ goals. He also drafted and reviewed contracts, including confidentiality, SaaS, Business Associate, transactional and operational agreements.

During law school, Sean served as a legal intern for the State Attorney General’s Office, Healthcare Division and the United States Attorney’s Office, Civil Rights Unit where he took part in consumer protection litigation and conducted policy research on Massachusetts hospitals to ensure compliance with price transparency laws. He also served as a legal intern in the Office of General Counsel at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where he advised clients on non-profit and healthcare compliance.

Sean graduated in the class of 2022 from Northeastern University School of Law where he was co-chair of the Health Law Society and a member of the Northeastern University Law Review. He earned a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
